Going into this weeks sessions didnt work out quite as well as I could have hoped.

I started this week off house sitting a friends cat, an even though I was up, awake and ready for bootcamp, this little kitten had a whole different kind of work out for me.

Instead of warm up stretches and plank ups, I was running around the house chasing a Siamese cat around with its medicine.  Bootcamp would have been better then dealing with this situation!

However the rest of the week was a bit easier to get back into the swing of things.  This weeks drills were a little more familiar to me, similar to drills I remember doing during basketball. But more of a test of my own strength, challenging my own endurance, and balance.

I like how these drills make me work against myself, I find my own competitivness coming out in between reps. wanting to get faster, and increase my own strengths.  I hope I can continue to get into more routines like this one!

Carolyn’s 3rd Week: Is ths really the Warm-up? | New Routine at the Total Body Burn Bootcamp Arizona

This week we started a new routine, this one definitely got my blood pumping.  First off Troy introduced us boot-campers to a new warm up.

This warm up was a bit more intense then the last one, but so far I like it.  After just two sessions of doing this warm up I found myself beating my own record on plank ups.

The first time I did them I found myself taking a long time to get through the reps, an taking time in between just to get them done, the next time I found myself pushing through them, not only faster but with little to no break between!
Setting a new personal goal for myself.

We also started a new work out on Monday and I was blown away by what we were going to be doing, what seemed like a simple task was actually quite challenging.

I really found myself working hard to keep on target with all the motions that were introduced to me.  By the end of boot camp I was exhausted, and energized all at the same time, like i had accomplished so much in just a short amount of time.

I definitely felt that workout later, which in my book being sore can only mean a great workout!

30 Minute Home Fitness Workout

My 1st Attempts: My Quest to master the Ultimate Sandbag Clean at Bootcamp AZ

Well I have attended two Boot camp classes with Troy Anderson and the perfectionist in me is struggling with the fact that I can’t seem to master the sandbag clean. I even stayed late after class to try and practice in front of the mirror and Troy has had more patience with me, demonstrating multiple times how to clean successfully.

 

 

 

If I can race triathlons and train like a race horse why can’t I do a simple sandbag clean? I have been practicing everyday with a gym bag but my knees seem to bend too much, or my back isn’t arched right or the bag goes out too far from my body…I just can’t get it.

I know it’s crazy that I am even practicing but I am determined to master the sandbag clean if I have to practice 100x a day! Have any of you ever had this happen when you started a new exercise program?
